ELECTION INFORMATION
POLLING LOCATION UPDATE
The City would like to inform residents of an important update regarding our permanent polling location for future elections.
Earlier this year, residents were notified that the polling location would be moving to the new Police Station. After further review, it was deemed necessary to move the elections away from the new Police Station. Ultimately, the polling location will now be located at the Future City Hall / Election Center, located at 1201 1st Street NE.
We understand that multiple location changes may cause confusion and appreciate your patience as we work to provide the most accessible and efficient voting experience possible. The Future City Hall / Election Center will serve as the polling place for all City residents in the upcoming 2026 elections and all future elections.
Please note that while Election Day(s) will be at this new location, absentee/early voting for Scott County (which begins on October 16 for the General), as well as all other main City Hall functions, will still be located at the current City Hall, 118 Central Avenue North, while we prepare our new location.
The polling location and election information will continue to be communicated in newsletters, social media, and the City’s website. Thank you for your understanding.

ABSENTEE/EARLY VOTING
- New Prague City Residents who live in Scott County are eligible to Early Vote at New Prague City Hall, 118 Central Ave. N
- Absentee/Early voting begins October 16th and ends November 2nd
- Hours are:
- Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
- City residents who live in Le Sueur can absentee/early vote at the Le Sueur County Government Center.
